SEA GLASBRUK KOSTA glass candle holder ‘CANDY VOTIVE’ in lime green.
SEA glassworks, which was founded in 1956 , was located in the area of Småland called Glasriget . During the first half of the 20th century, a number of smaller glass processing industries had been established near Kosta. One of the more successful companies was Dekor-Etsing, which further processed raw glass. The largest supplier was AB Ekeberga glassworks, which was established in 1953. Three years later, it was bought by Dekor-Etsing, which changed the name of the mill to SEA. The name was obtained by merging the first letter of the surname of the three new owners: Inge Samuelsson, Sven Ernstsson, Tore Andersson. In the same way, the name Kosta had come into being almost 200 years earlier.
SEA glasbruk was part of the merger Orrefors Kosta Boda AB in 1990.
